HVAC brands are increasingly turning to sponsorship as the category continues to grow driven by people wanting homes and workplaces to be comfortable as temperatures rise and cities become more dense
Heating, Ventilation and Air Cooling (HVAC) are systems that control temperature and/or air quality in buildings and vehicles, such as air conditioners or heat pumps. The global market is predicted to reach $445bn by 2033, as HVAC products move from ‘nice to have’ to everyday essentials, particularly among the consumer market.
Growing concern about indoor air quality is also boosting demand for air purifiers, dehumidifiers, and other energy-efficient systems that improve comfort and health. At the same time, stricter sustainability regulations are pushing manufacturers to innovate cleaner and more efficient technologies. Together, these trends are making HVAC an increasingly visible and fast-growing consumer category, shaped by changing climates, lifestyles, and expectations that homes, workplaces, and leisure spaces should actively support comfort and wellbeing.
The sponsorship angle
HVAC may not be the flashiest category, but it punches above its weight when it comes to sponsorship. Across major sports organisations, the category has signed around 150 sponsorship deals every year since 2022. This number continues to grow, making HVAC one of the most active B2B-led categories in sport.

Here are examples of deals which have been undertaken by HVAC brands:
- Daikin x Houston Astros: A 15-year stadium naming-rights agreement, supported by community initiatives to strengthen ties between Daikin and the Houston community.
- Haier x Australian Open: To connect smart home living with elite performance, delivering a ‘Zero Distance’ experience for fans, “marking a critical step in our globalization efforts.”
- Frank Gay Services x Orlando Magic: A longstanding partnership including in-arena branding and digital engagements alongside community give-backs.
