caytoo analysed the biggest competitions in golf as well as the governing bodies covering the UK game to reveal how sponsors group in terms of industry sectors.
Despite the large number of sponsors and its crowded nature, a number of sectors are conspicuous by their absence, such as consumer-facing online brands, supermarkets, coffee chains and many FMCG categories, particularly men’s grooming. Perhaps this represents an opportunity for sectors such as these to dive in, stand out and make a difference, particularly in helping promote the game to new audiences?
